Homeland Security Today (HSToday) announced that Kapstone Technologies, Inc./KAPCOM, LLC were one of the winners of The National Homeland Security Awards. They were chosen as the Government Technology & Services Coalition (GTSC) Small Business Member(s) of the Year.
“This award was totally unexpected,” said Kapstone and KAPCOM’s CEO and Founder, Elaine Kapetanakis. “We are so thrilled to receive this honor. To receive it from this organization, one that offers small businesses access to the wealth of information needed to be successful in the industry, is even more meaningful.”
GTSC began awarding members of its coalition back in 2012 with three awards. By 2017, they expanded to nearly two dozen awards when GTSC purchased Homeland Security Today. Now, they recognize nominees on a national scale and continue to recognize the most elite businesses and individuals in Homeland Security.
“The National Homeland Security Awards recognize heroes chosen by their peers from all across the country. The awards have grown to recognize federal, state, and local heroes who are working tirelessly to protect the public and our way of life,” said Kristina Tanasichuk, Executive Editor of Homeland Security Today and CEO of GTSC, in a press release.
Nominees are submitted by HSToday’s readership and the public during a two-month window, and the winners are chosen from hundreds of submissions from both public and private sectors.
The award was presented on December 5, 2024.
